Megan Aller

Megan is DERA’s Account Rep. She provides the updates on new Metrolist products, information about MLS Rules & Regulations along with PrimeAccessSM training and education.

Betty Armbrust GRI, CRS, C-CREC, DREI

Betty, a true pioneer in Colorado Real Estate, has been licensed since 1960. She holds the GRI, CRS, Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) and the Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant (C-CREC) designations. She was awarded the “National Real Estate Educator of the Year” and the “Colorado Real Estate Educator of the Year”.

Doug Barber CRB, GRI, MRE

Doug Barber has been in real estate since 1975. He holds a degree in Real Estate and Construction Management and holds the CRB, GRI and MRE designations. Doug has over 70 hours of mediation training, is a member of the Colorado Council of Mediators and Mediation Organizations (CCMO) and is an Eagle Scout.

Steve Blair

Steve has been in the real estate industry since 1972, and a home inspector since 1995. Steve is an ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) member, and is ITA (Inspection Training Associates) educationally trained. He is past president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of ASHI, and served as the Chairman of the Colorado Legislative Committee for two years. He is currently serving as a Board member of RMC ASHI, and is an instructor at Kaplan ITA school in Denver.

Tupper Briggs ABR, CRS, CRB, ePro, MRE, SRES

Tupper managed residential real estate offices for 16 years before returning to listing and selling real estate in the Evergreen/Conifer area in 1988. He has been listed as one of the 3 top brokers for RE/MAX in the 5 state Mt. Region from 1996-2006. He now heads a team of 5 brokers supported by a staff of 4 at the Re/Max Alliance office in Evergreen.

Damian Cox

Damian’s energetic approach to real estate education is engaging and informative. He has worked in the Colorado real estate industry since 1995, initially as a licensed real estate broker and now as a practicing real estate attorney. He represents over 2,000 real estate brokers throughout the Denver metro area and has been a CAR instructor since 2004.

Karen Easton - With CAR Since 1991
Karen has been a licensed Broker since 1977, and has over 25 years experience in the residential home building business. Karen served in leadership positions for CAR Education and has assisted in the authorship of several courses.

Mark Eibner

Mark Eibner comes highly accredited as a blogger and entrepreneur.  He is a the co founder and owner of IPTVBoyz, a video-blog based  PR and Marketing firm.  Additionally, Mark is also the co founder and owner of Zealot Universe, a business blogging platform used by IPTVBoyz and numerous other bloggers across the United States.  Mark is a 23 year Real Estate Broker and industry veteran.  He has been successful in all facets of the real estate industry including but not limited to property management, personal production, brokerage management, title insurance, showing services, real estate software, software and hardware hosting and Real Estate office operations.  Mark is still actively involved in several real estate vested operations.

Oliver Frascona – With CAR Since 1991

Oliver has his B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado and a J.D. from the University of Denver Law School, in addition to intervening years as a naval officer. Oliver is a certified Instructor Cuyahoga Plan (Fair Housing Law and Practice in Real Estate). In 1990, he was Educator of the Year. He is the author of The Digital Paper Trail.

Wendy Frenzel REALTOR®, e-Pro, GRI, ASP, AHWD

Wendy Frenzel, with her company A Vantage Properties, conducts single family property management and leasing services as well as HOA Management services.  Even though HOA Management is not regulated at this time in Colorado, Wendy is a member of the Community Association Institute (CAI) which is an association for HOA's and those that serve them.  Through this membership, Wendy and A Vantage Properties has access to many resources not only for the HOA Manager but for the Board of Directors that they work with through classes, events, publications, and e-updates.  Also, Wendy attends classes held by a law firm that specializes on HOA issues for an additional 15 hours of education (non CE) per year on items that effect HOA's. 

Kirk Goble

Kirk Goble, ALC has been a broker-owner in Colorado for almost 2 decades, specializing in land, farm, and water transactions as well as land use consulting. Kirk is a national instructor for REALTORS Land Institute (RLI) and holds the Accredited Land Specialist (ALC) designation. He has served as President of Colorado REALTORS Land Institute and has twice been named Colorado Land REALTOR of the Year. Kirk holds 2 degrees from Colorado State University and has experience as a Vocational Agriculture Instructor and farm mortgage lender.

Dave Hickey

Dave holds degrees in public and financial accounting from Colorado State University. He was recently selected as the Denver Business Journals 40 under 40 up and coming businesspersons.

Bruce Jordan

Bruce has a passion for teaching people in the real estate profession and has also assisted the CMLA with the teaching of their CML program, personally conducting the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 five-week sessions on mortgage closings, title insurance, RESPA compliance and other issues.  Bruce is also an Instructor for Land Title, Security Title, Equity Title, Vanguard Title and Attorneys Title. 

Tony Marietta – With CAR Since 1999

A Senior CAR Instructor, Tony has been designing and teaching real estate courses since 1977. He is Broker/Owner of Marietta & Company in Colorado Springs, affiliated with Metro Brokers, Inc. A REALTOR® since 1975, he is a past REALTOR® Salesman of the Year for the Pikes Peak Association of REALTORS®.

Peter Meer MBA, MPM

Pete is the Owner/Broker of Meer & Company, Inc., manages 150 single-family homes.  Mr. Meer is a speaker, trainer, consultant and expert witness.

Kip Nye

Kip is the Elbert County/CSU Extension Director. Kip teaches about land management, and many other rural issues.

Jack O’Connor

Jack started his real estate career in 1978 and became a top producer in a 700 sales agent firm. He has participated in over 1800 transactions and has sold in excess of $250 million in sales volume in the Denver metro area. Jack is currently one of the Managing Partners/Brokers for Prestige Real Estate Group, LLC.

Renee Parrish

Renee is the owner of ReDefine Interiors, is a Certified Staging Specialist and Certified Color Consultant. Renee is a member of Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS)

Susan Plage

Susan has a background in education as well as experience as a trainer/presenter in the business field. Plage has been a licensed Broker since 1996.

Mickey Sanders

Mickey Sanders was born at a very young age and then got in the title insurance industry. While developing a successful career as a sales representative and winning various awards Mickey began teaching her clients the tricks of her trade. Mickey always has said “Whether you are selling title insurance, real estate or loans the same marketing principles and rules apply.”

As her knowledge of the industry began to develop and expand thus did her speaking engagements. Knowing, understanding and believing in the value of educating real estate professional Chicago Title of Colorado hired her to speak full time. Mickey’s delivery style is entertaining as well as informative.

Mary Lou Schwab CPA, CES

Mary Lou Schwab has over 24 years of tax accounting experience as a CPA specializing in real estate transactions and tax deferred exchanges.  She has her Certified Exchange Specialist (CES) designation granted through the Federal of Exchange Accommodators.  In addition, she is a real estate investor and an instructor for a number of continuing education classes for REALTORS®.  

Steve Stazel – With CAR Since 1979

Steve has been a REALTOR since 1974 and a CAR instructor since 1978. He writes Ethics articles for many boards throughout Colorado and Kansas. He has taught Ethics and Professional Standards not only in Colorado but in other states as well. Steve is a CAR director and serves SMDRA as chairman of their Professional Standards committee. He is also a member of CAR’s Professional Standards Committee.

John Wendt GRI, CRS, MRE

John started his career in 1980. For CAR, he has served on all of the education committees, was Dean of the REALTOR® Institute, Education Division VP for 2 terms, and was the 1993 CAR President. John has obtained his GRI, CRS and MRE designations
