ETHICS COURSE

NAR Ethics Review Course Requirements

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requires mandatory ethics training for all REALTOR® members to promote the professionalism of the REALTOR® and to protect the public. The REALTOR® Code of Ethics establishes a high standard of business practice and professional conduct that sets the REALTOR® apart from the real estate licensee.

To ensure that members are aware of changes to the Code of Ethics and have an understanding of their duties and obligations, all DERA members are required to complete an ethics update course every four years. All members must have completed the update course by December 31, 2008 if they have not taken it in 2005 or later.

DERA has scheduled four review classes to meet this requirement. The class is also approved for four hours CE credit toward your license renewal. The cost is only $50 for members.

These 4 hour classes will be at the DERA office and are scheduled for:

Please note:  This requirement does not apply to Affiliate members. Secondary REALTOR® members will be monitored by their primary association.

New members must still take the six-hour Ethical & Professional Practices class. This six hour class will also meet the review requirements, is good for six hours CE credit. It is also one of the GRI classes.  DERA has scheduled the six hour classes as follows:

Note: All classes are instructed by Steve Stazel from 9-4 and are $80.

**These classes may be taken at any association or online, but DERA will need a faxed copy of the certificate of completion sent. (FAX: 303-688-6053)
