GRI: Becoming More Than A Tour Guide: Working Successfully with Buyers

GRI Housing Construction: Building a Solid Foundation

GRI Ethical & Professional Practices of REALTORS®

You voluntarily became a REALTOR®. As a part of this smart career decision, you are required to abide by a National Code of Ethics.  This course is required to earn the GRI Designation and for all new REALTOR® members. It also applies to the NAR Ethics requirement that the Code be taken every four years.

NAR Ethics Update
The National Association of REALTORS® requires that you brush up on the Code every four years. This course provides a basic review of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. This course satisfies the NAR mandatory requirement for membership renewal. This course must be taken by the end of 2012 if you have not taken it in 2009 or later.

Orientation

This is a required course for all new REALTOR® members. You will learn what the benefits are as a REALTOR® as well as other pertinent information to help you in your new profession.

GRI: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You
Your statements, actions and inactions all can land you in hot water. Come learn from some of the best real estate attorneys in the state about possible legal implications that can save you time and money.

GRI: Water: CO’s 21st Century Gold
Adequate potable water is a prime concern when buying real estate. With Colorado’s population expanding, the clamor for more water is never-ending. Colorado law is quite specific about how water may be used and who may use it. Topics include wells, septic systems, surface water, and water rights, as well as what a broker must know when listing and selling property. Learn how Colorado gets, stores, distributes and uses its water. Current water issues also will be discussed.

GRI: Risky Business (Formerly Risk Reduction)
Courts are upholding decisions that assign more and more liability to the Broker involved in real estate transactions. It is imperative that Brokers employ all their skills and due diligence when conducting real estate transactions. Knowing what risks you face and how to deal with them will help keep your customers satisfied and you positioned away from legal action.

GRI: Building Successful Relationships
Achieving long-term success required developing a working knowledge of how to deal effectively with consumers and other professionals, given their different personalities and communication styles. The purpose of this course is to enable REALTORS® to build lasting relationships with consumers and other professionals through meaningful communications.

Staging: Hue and You
This class will identify how color affects our daily lives.  You will leave understanding how color affects our moods, our choices and our relationships of all kinds. You will confirm things you already know about yourself and some things you never imagined!  It's a great tool to understand how you relate to your clients.

GRI: Is the Price Right? (Formerly Residential Appraisal)
Familiarize yourself with the importance of an appraisal and how this valuable tool can help you and your customers establish a market price for their homes. What your customers might be thinking and what the lender is thinking in many cases is different. Understanding the appraisal process will help you and your customers make better decisions when pricing a home. (A basic calculator is required for this class.)

Commission (CREC) Update

This course, required yearly by the Colorado Real Estate Commission, will discuss the changes in the contract for the upcoming year. Three different courses of the CREC course must be within your three-year licensing period for a total of 12 continuing education credits.
